FALL/WINTER 2024: Nails That Stand Out

Have you been wondering how to make your nails stand out? First of all, take care of your nails and use products that will make them strong and healthy. Second, add a coat of polish. Polished nails add an accent to your look, plus they make your nails look neat and tidy.

Whether you love dramatic nail colors and designs or prefer something simple, we have you covered.

Read more to find out what’s on trend this fall and winter.

Best Nail Colors This Fall and Winter

Minimalist

If long, dramatic nails aren’t your thing, perhaps minimalist nails are down your alley. This nail design doesn’t require special nail art skills, but the good thing is that you still get to be creative. Plus, your nails will truly stand out.

Experiment with a nude polish for the base and darker colors to add a line or two on the nails. If you’re feeling bold try a brighter color. Grey, chocolate, and baby blue really make a statement!

Red

The holidays are just around the corner, and red is the perfect hue for holiday nails. It’s elegant, sexy, and always the right choice! We love the versitility of shades, so you can find your favorite. Cherry-red, glittery red and wine-red are our top three red nail polishes for the fall and winter.

Cherry red is a great choice if you’re looking for that bold look. Glittery red is perfect for spreading holiday cheer. Wine-red is stylish and gorgeous, (especially when topped off with a matte finish) it’s our favorite for your office Christmas party.

French Manicure

There’s nothing that shouts elegance and beauty like white-tipped pink nails. And guess what? This breathtaking mani is back! (Thank God!)

The best part about the French manicure is that it goes with everything, so you don’t have to worry about matching the clothes with your nails.

Apart from the classic French manicure look, you can also use other color combinations, such as milky white for the base and black for the tips.  We also love to add glitters or tiny crystals just above the line to make the nails stand out.

Neutrals

Do you love dressing your nails in neutral colors? How about upgrading those classic shades? If you want to shake up your neutral palate choose slightly brighter and warmer nail colors like cinnamon, ginger, and pumpkin. These will still have that neutral look but will also work great with your autumn wardrobe.

Are you new to neutral? If you’ve never worn neutral colors before start with the basics like creamy beige, pinky nude, and taupe. You can polish your nails in all three colors to make things a bit more interesting. Or you can apply the same color on every nail then add glitter or a matte top coat on two fingernails for an accent.

Ombre

As you probably already know, ombre is one of the most popular hair color trends. Well, now it’s also very popular for nails. Instead of using just one color, you can combine more colors and create eye-catching nail designs. This time of year you’ll want to reach for those fall and winter colors and leave out vibrant and neon colors. (Save the Neon for the summer months)

Here are some nail colors to combine and get the perfect fall ombre – brown and nude, red and black, orange and red, white, grey and black.

Learning how to ombre your nails takes time and work, but this video might help you to get the hang of it more quickly.

Glitter

What better way to celebrate autumn and winter than with shimmering nails? There’s a ton of sparkling ideas on Pinterest, from those simple accents like painting glitter only on one fingernail, to those that include the golden glitter on every fingernail. Once again, brown, nude, and red nail colors are in the forefront. This fall is bound to be shiny!

Matte finish

A matte finish is a great way to make any nail color bold and modern. You can either top off every fingernail or apply a matte finish on two nails to make them stand out.

If you have a nail polish that you’re not using for some reason, switch things up with a matte finish topcoat. We’re sure you’re going to love the final look so give it a try!

A Final Word

Now you’re up to speed on all the nail colors and trends that will make your nails stand out in the Fall and Winter 2019. We truly hope you’ll try these ideas, because doing your nails is so much fun! Plus, it feels great to have fresh polish! Here’s to nail polish – cheers!
