When most people think of the best cordless leaf blowers, one name usually comes to mind: EGO. They’ve become one of the most popular brands on the market for battery-powered yard tools. But there’s one big problem… they’re expensive.

So I wanted to see if these cheap cordless leaf blowers from Amazon could actually compete.

One of the most popular cordless leaf blowers online costs around $380. Meanwhile, these three Amazon leaf blowers combined cost just $216. That raises a big question: can these budget picks actually keep up with other cordless blowers at three times the price?

To find out, I tested three cordless models through a series of real-world tests including:

  • Wind speed testing

  • Leaf clearing performance

  • Sand clearing performance

  • Car drying speed

  • Battery runtime

  • And even a bonus skateboard race

The Leaf Blowers Tested

The first blower in the lineup was the Zarimi Cordless Leaf Blower, priced at $59.96 on Amazon during filming. It’s marketed for patio cleaning, lawn care, leaves, and dust. It includes two 21V lithium batteries and a precision nozzle attachment for tighter airflow control. The company claims wind speeds up to 110 MPH. Next was the Sakerplus Cordless Leaf Blower, which cost $66.48 at the time of testing. Like the Zarimi, it includes two 21V lithium batteries and is designed for light debris cleanup. The most expensive blower tested was the YOOVL Cordless Leaf Blower at $89.99. Unlike the first two compact models, this one looks and feels like a traditional full-sized leaf blower. It includes three adjustable speed settings, two 20V batteries, and even a shoulder strap. The company claims airflow up to 650 CFM. Wind Speed & Airflow Test

The first test measured airflow performance using an airflow meter attached directly to the hose/nozzle.

The results showed that none of the blowers fully reached their advertised performance numbers. However, the YOOVL still delivered the strongest overall airflow output of the group.

Leaf Clearing Test

For the next test, I spread one full bag of leaves inside a marked-off square and timed how quickly each blower could completely clear the area.

The YOOVL clearly performed best when it came to moving leaves, which makes sense considering it had the strongest airflow and more traditional blower design.

One thing worth noting is that the Sakerplus technically cleared the leaves in 6 seconds, but it did leave some debris behind and required a second pass afterward.

Sand Clearing Test

Leaves are lightweight, so I also wanted to see how these blowers handled heavier debris. For this test, I poured 2 pounds of sand into a marked square and timed how quickly each blower could clear it.

This test completely flipped the rankings.

The Zarimi surprisingly dominated the sand test, clearing the area in only 5 seconds. Meanwhile, the YOOVL struggled badly with heavier material and took more than double the time to finish.

That was one of the biggest surprises of the entire review.

Car Drying Test

A lot of people buy cordless blowers specifically for drying vehicles after a wash, so I tested each blower on half of a wet car hood.

The YOOVL finished first once again, even though it was more awkward to hold at that angle. The Sakerplus wasn’t far behind though, trailing by only a few seconds.

Battery Runtime Test

Battery life is one of the most important factors for cordless outdoor power tools, so I ran all three blowers continuously at full power until they completely died.

The YOOVL lasted the longest by a wide margin, but it also had the biggest gap between real-world performance and advertised claims.

For a fun final test, I attached each blower to a skateboard to see which one could cross the finish line fastest.

After all the testing, each blower had strengths and weaknesses. If you’re searching for the best leaf blower on a budget, here’s how each one stacks up.

Best Overall for Yard Work: YOOVL

If your main goal is blowing leaves and general yard cleanup, the YOOVL is easily the best choice of the group.
It:

  • Cleared leaves the fastest

  • Had the longest battery runtime

  • Dried the car the quickest

  • Felt the most like a traditional leaf blower

The downside is that it struggled badly with heavier debris like sand. So I’d mainly recommend it for leaves, grass, and lighter outdoor cleanup tasks.

Best Budget Compact Options: Zarimi & Sakerplus

The Zarimi and Sakerplus were honestly very similar overall.

The biggest difference was battery runtime, where the Zarimi lasted over a minute longer. Other than that, their performance was extremely close throughout testing.

If you want a lightweight compact blower for quick cleanups around the house or patio, either one could get the job done without spending a fortune.
