The 6 best makeup palettes for less than $25

Do you really need all those eyeshadow palettes and individual pots for your everyday routine? Or do you tend to grab the same four or five products every time you get glam? You need to purge your makeup bag. Make room for multitasking products, bare essentials that don’t take up much space, and high-quality palettes you’ll actually reach for. Make a fresh start (and save some money). Here are the best makeup palettes for under $25.

All-Inclusive Eye, Cheek & Face Palette by Milani Cosmetics – $14.99

Are you looking for an everyday palette that has everything you need? We’re talking blush, contour, bronze, highlight and pigmented shades. If so, the All-Inclusive Eye, Cheek & Face Palette by Milani Cosmetics is for you.

This 100% cruelty-free palette comes with 3 eyeshadows, 2 blush shades, a bronzer, and a highlighter that lets you create unlimited looks. Sculpt and define your face with a few quick swipes or apply extra layers to build a smokey eye that goes with everything. For a more dramatic eye look, dampen the bristles of your brush just a bit and sweep it over the highlighter shade. Tap the shadow onto the center of your lids, inner corner of the eyes, Cupid’s bow, or anywhere you want a pop of radiance.

The Minis by Natasha Denona in Mini Love, Mini Gold, and Mini Sunset – $25

The Minis by Natasha Denona is great for anyone who wants super pigmented neutral shades but want a little more than just a soft wash of color.

Every palette in the Minis collection comes with five eyeshadows. These include natural mattes, neutral transition shades and foiled shimmery eyeshadows.

The shadows are easy to blend and layer on top of other shadows. Some palettes leave a dusty kickoff and don’t show up on lighter skin. But these shadows are easy to blend and they adapt to almost all skin tones.

Create a soft natural look with the lighter shades and the foiled eyeshadow in each palette. Or layer the darker shades around the outer corners of the eyes for a more dramatic look.

The Minis are great for any makeup lover who wants to see if Natasha Denona palettes are really worth the hype (and hefty price tag!) but without actually committing to a bigger palette. You can choose from 9 different mini eyeshadow palettes. But if you’re looking for versatile colors that work for everyone, try the Mini Love, the Mini Gold, or the Mini Sunset palettes.

Tartelette Tease Clay Palette by Tarte – $19

Featuring six buttery eye shadows that smell like vanilla, this mini version of the Tartelette Tease Clay Palette by Tarte lets you create everything from subtle rosy daytime looks to more intense smokey eyes for nighttime.

This compact palette is so tiny, it can easily fit in any bag or purse, (which means you can leave more makeup products at home when you travel!) Featuring soft mauve, pink, and brown shades, a shimmery taupe, and two intense brown and plum shades, you’ll have everything you need to create pretty much any look you want.

Aside from the versatile color story, the Tartelette tease clay palette comes with super sturdy packaging, so you can carry it everywhere without being afraid of breaking it.

The Nubian 3 Coral by Juvia’s Place – $20

If you’re looking for soft neutral everyday shades, this palette isn’t for you. Just a quick swipe of your fingers on this eyeshadow palette and you’ll quickly understand why so many beauty gurus and influencers love Juvia’s Place palettes. The shadows are highly pigmented, the pans are huge (so you’re getting more bang for your money) and the consistency of the shadows is smooth and velvety, so they’re really easy to work with.

The Nubian 3 Coral by Juvia’s Place comes with a versatile range of muted browns, warm corals, peach neutrals, and sparkly brown shimmers that look amazing on warm skin tones. This palette comes with 12 shimmer and matte eyeshadows you can mix and match to create a variety of looks. Use the soft coral and rosy beige shades to create a soft glam natural look. Or mix the caramel brown shimmers with the dark matte browns and add some drama to a traditional smokey eye.

Flower Power by BH Cosmetics – $12

Ditch all those individual eyeshadow pans for this colorful palette that’s anything but basic. Perfect for anyone who’s tired of boring browns and “meh” flesh-toned shades, the Flower Power by BH Cosmetics palette comes with an array of mattes and shimmering shades in purple, lilac, gold, and pink, and a couple of nude transition shades to complete all kinds of looks.

With 16 highly pigmented shades and a formula that performs as well as their high-end counterparts, this eyeshadow palette by BH Cosmetics won’t disappoint despite barely burning a hole in your pocket.

Earth & Ocean Eyeshadow Palette by E.L.F. – $14

Are you a big fan of gold-toned greens, ocean blues, and grays, (or you have green or brown eyes)? If so, you’ll want to make room in your makeup bag for the Earth & Ocean Eyeshadow Palette by E.L.F.

When it comes to budget-friendly beauty, E.L.F. rarely disappoints (although some formulas could’ve used more pigment in the past). However, the Earth & Ocean Eyeshadow palette is free of any chalkiness and delivers a nice color payoff.

The palette comes with 18 mattes, shimmers, and satin shades. They’re blendable, smear-proof, and can easily outperform palettes that cost three times as much money. You’ll get much better results from the E.L.F. palettes than, say the Subculture palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. That’s the product that was so powdery and hard to work with, the brand had to issue an apology for charging $42 for a palette that felt like chalk.

Nowadays, spending more money on a palette isn’t a guarantee that you’ll get good results. For $12, this palette will give you lots to play with. Create a subtle green and brown everyday look or give your eyes a pop of icy blue while keeping things wearable.
